Together, We Can End Sex Trafficking in Texas
We’re a movement of committed Texans taking a stand for survivors and fighting for change—through action, advocacy, and support.
JOIN US IN BUILDING A SAFER, FREER FUTURE
our mission
Founded in 2017, The Houston 20 is a group of influential and committed Texans who formed a movement to advocate for the end of sex trafficking and trade in Houston and Texas. We support nonprofit organizations that provide direct services to victims and survivors, work to end demand, and advocate for changing laws. Through awareness, collaboration, and partnerships, The Houston 20 has achieved legislative results at the local, state, and federal levels and has contributed more than $2.2 million directly to nonprofit partners. We now work closely with local high schools through our Houston 20 Junior Boards, mentoring students to protect themselves and their peers, engage effectively in their communities, fundraise, participate in the grant-making process, and advocate for laws. By educating and empowering the next generation, we aim to create a lasting impact in the fight against trafficking. This mentorship has already yielded results, as students have actively contributed to raising funds and increasing awareness within their schools and communities. We are volunteer-run, survivor-led, and 100% of funds raised directly benefit our partners and the trafficking community.
